This session provides a clear and engaging overview of the NHS App, starting with its development and the role it now plays in supporting digital-first access across the NHS. Attendees will gain a solid understanding of the app’s core features, including appointment booking, prescription ordering, access to medical records, and communication tools.
The session will then move on to practical strategies to increase patient adoption and engagement, focusing on simple, actionable steps that can be implemented at the practice level. We will also explore how to write effective SMS messages that encourage patients to use the NHS App, thereby reducing administrative workload and improving the patient experience. By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident in promoting and embedding the NHS App within their daily workflows.
